Northern Alaska War Dagger- ca 1840. Well patinated war dagger. Made of wood from a shipwreck and metal from a shipwreck or obtained by trade. This important Alaskan War Dagger has a rounded wooden grip and a double edge blade for stabbing rather than cutting. The pommel is carved into a powerful round face with a mesmerizing expression. The Niagara Falls Museum has stored or displayed this dagger for more than a century. Therefore, it has been left untouched without any repairs!
