Freeman’s | Hindman presents a mix of historic and modern Native American jewelry during its December sale.

An array of phenomenal Native American jewelry, primarily from the 20th century, will be on offer during Freeman’s | Hindman’s upcoming Native American Jewelry sale. The online auction will give bidders the opportunity to vie for valuable, historic jewelry from the comfort of their own living rooms. But while collectors can remain comfortable at home, the bidding will surely be charged with energy.

Among some of the major highlights in the upcoming sale is a concha belt by contemporary Diné artists Gail Bird and Yazzie Johnson. The belt is highly intricate, crafted with silver and 24K gold, and with inlays of multiple different types of gems. Figures of deer are etched into the silver throughout the belt. It is expected to fetch between $10,000 and $15,000.

Other highlights by living artists include a striking 18K gold ring set with opal and onyx by Pala Mission-Cherokee artist Larry Golsh, which has a presale estimate of $4,000 to $5,000.

Collectors should also be on the lookout for various early and mid-20th-century treasures, including a petite stamped silver link concha belt by Diné artist Etsitty Tsosie, estimated at $1,500 to $2,500; a sterling silver and turquoise cuff bracelet by Hopi artist Morris Robinson, expected to bring in between $1,000 and $2,000; as well as a silver and mosaic inlay brooch depicting a thunderbird, attributed to Zuni artist Lambert Homer Sr. The thunderbird brooch has a presale estimate of $800 to $1,200.
