Art of the Northeast Woodlands
June/July 2023 Issue Special Feature
In one of the most artistically diverse regions of the country, the Northeast Woodlands, there are countless artists, galleries and museums that are offering incredible Native American artwork. In the June/July issue we return to the region to again explore the artwork, traditions and culture associated with this area that includes parts of the Midwest, the East Coast and even extends into Canada. These areas are known for their basketry, jewelry, textiles, sculpture, pottery and so much more. Tribes and nations include Ojibwe, Seneca, Mohawk, Oneida, Mi’kmaq, Passamaquoddy and many more. The section was introduced in 2021 and was a sensational hit with artists, dealers and collectors. We are excited to return to the Northeast Woodlands!
