There is an unknown hallmark on the back of the pendant. The silver has been lightly polished. Cabochon in setting is 1 5/8 inches wide x 2 1/4 inches high; including the bail, the pendant is 2 3/4 inches high.

Point basket by Jeremy Frey

Point basket by Jeremy Frey

Jeremy Frey, Passamaquoddy
Black ash, sweetgrass, dye
There are a number of elements that contribute to this basket’s exquisite beauty: the shape is wider than a tapered vase, but more graceful than most bulbous ones. The strong reddish color is calmed by the soft grey weavers. The rims of both the cover and the body are trimmed in sweetgrass, accompanied by a stylish, curved sweetgrass band just below, on the body. Undyed points, as well as other splints provide a contrast with the dyed splints. The plain fine weave bottom allows the eye to rest before the graduated points begin to climb up the body. Frey’s signature finial completes the design. 8 inches diameter x 9 inches high, to the top of the fixed finial
