HUGE Antelope Dancer figure from noted Cochiti potter Mary Janice Ortiz! This is an incredible piece and would make a great centerpiece for any collection! Janice uses all natural pigments for her paints (Red rock clay for red, White slip which can turn beige or grey depending on the firing conditions, and wild spinach for black) She fires all of her pottery outdoors the traditional way. A true collector's item! Janice is the sister of noted potter Virgil Ortiz and Joyce Ortiz and Inez Ortiz(d). She is also the aunt of Lisa Holt.

Black Stone Polished Avanyu Jar by award winning potter Daryl Whitegeese! It has an Avanyu (Water Serpent) carved around the perimeter! The carving is really nice on this piece and the stone polished finish is absolutely amazing! All natural materials and fired outdoors. Daryl is the son of noted potter Lu Ann Tafoya and the grandson of Santa Clara Matriarch Margaret Tafoya. Daryl recently won "Best of Classification Pottery" at the Heard Museum Show in 2019.

Traditional Hopi hand coiled Tall Jar fired outdoors by Mark Tahbo. We are not sure of the design element on the front, but it's an incredible piece! He uses all natural materials for his paints. Mark learned from his great grandmother Grace Chapella. His work is extremely high quality and he has won awards at Heard Museum Show, Santa Fe Indian Market and Gallup Ceremonials. This piece was acquired from a private collector. Mark passed away in 2017.

Iris is the Granddaughter of Nampeyo of Hano and the daughter of Fannie Nampeyo. Her siblings are Leah Garcia Nampeyo, Tonita Nampeyo, Tom Polacca & Elva Nampeyo. Her work is very high quality. This piece was acquired from a private collector. Iris passed away in 2018.

LARGE Hand coiled storage Jar with Butterflies and Birds alternating around the perimeter. It has a total of 25 Butterflies, 10 Hummingbirds & 10 Birds including 2 swallowtails which are important to the Zia people when praying for rain. Marcellus told me this is the first pot they have ever done with this combination of Butterflies, Hummingbirds and Birds. The painting and designs on this are exquisite! Natural paints and fired outdoors! Elizabeth & Marcellus are some of the few potters still active from Zia Pueblo. Their work is highly collectible. This is the same piece they are holding in the last photo!

Hand coiled Large Dough Bowl by famed potter Robert Tenorio. It has 4 Deer designs around the inside with other traditional designs! The outside is what Robert calls the "Aguilar" design. A very striking piece! All of Robert's jars have a hand with a circular design on the inside indicating that it's hand coiled. His signature hallmark is the 7 dipper stars which signifies his last name (7 letters). Fired outdoors with natural pigments by living treasure potter Robert Tenorio.

Traditional Hopi hand coiled LARGE Pahlik Mana Jar by Jeremy Adams Nampeyo. It has a 2 Pahlik Manas (Butterfly Maidens) designs painted around the perimeter. It is hand coiled, painted with natural pigments from the earth and fired outdoors the traditional way! Jeremy is the son of Vernida Polacca. He was taught by his mother and is the great great grandson of Nampeyo of Hano. He is the brother Michael Adams who is a noted jeweler and his sister is Heidi Nodman. He is the nephew of Clinton Polacca & Reva Ami. He is also the grandson of Alice Adams. There are no cracks, chips or repairs.
