Hot off the heels of the Santa Fe Indian Market in August, the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts (SWAIA) is ready to cool things down with the beloved Winter Indian Market. The more intimate market, filled with work by nearly 200 artists, will take place this year on November 28 and 29 at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center.

The August and November markets pack a one-two punch for collectors who want to add stunning new artworks to their collections. Works in the market include all of the normal Santa Fe Indian Market classifications: beadwork and quillwork, basketry, pottery, sculpture, jewelry, diverse arts, weavings and textiles, flat works (paintings, drawings, photography), katsina carvings and much more.
“Alongside the artist booths, enjoy live music, dance performances, Native food vendors and a virtual silent auction—perfect for those who can’t attend in person but still want to support artists,” SWAIA notes in an announcement for this year’s show. “Insider Tip: Arrive early for the best shopping experience and time to connect with artists. Dress warmly—Santa Fe mornings can be crisp—and take time to enjoy the full atmosphere of the market.”

Tickets for a single day are $15, or $25 for a weekend pass. The market is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 29.
In addition to the market, visitors will find a festive atmosphere all around Santa Fe, which will be preparing for the coming winter season with holiday lights in the plaza, the smell of piñon from many of the shops, and inviting restaurants, art galleries and museums all around the Santa Fe Plaza and beyond.
