Lusher Fine Art will offer more than 400 pieces of the West to bidders across a sprawling and lively in-person and online sale on August 3 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Objects being offered include beadwork and quillwork, pottery, weavings and art from many other categories.

One of the highlights from the Native American objects category is a Navajo first-phase silver fleur-de-lis concho belt from the late 1800s. The auction house describes the work: “An important Navajo first-phase silver and leather concho belt, comprising six hand-forged oval conchos alternating with butterfly spacers. The conchos feature stamped decoration with distinctive fleur-de-lis motifs and scalloped borders, retaining a desirable aged patina throughout; mounted on an early leather belt.” The belt is estimated at $30,000 to $35,000.

The auction will be held live and in-person at the Santa Fe Woman’s Club, as well as online through the auction house website. Bidding starts at noon. —
