Carly Treece of Tvlse Studios is curating a powerful group exhibition featuring contemporary Native artists from Oklahoma. “[These artists are] exploring deep-rooted connections between Indigenous people and land—spiritually, physically and emotionally between past, present and future generations,” Treece says about the exhibition. The show is titled Keepers of the Land, and it returns to Sovereign Santa Fe from August 15 through 17 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The show takes place in the ballroom at La Fonda on the Plaza, in the heart of the Santa Fe downtown area.

In addition to art, this year’s show will also feature signed copies of Joy Harjo’s Washing My Mother’s Body, featuring illustrations by Dana Tiger, who will be on hand to sign books and meet fans. Other artists include Shane Brown, Johnnie Diacon, Kalyn Fay Barnoski, Bobby Martin, Shelley Patrick and many more. The show is a collaboration between Tvlse Studios, Sovereign Santa Fe and FaraHNHeight Fine Art. —
