Empowering Artists — Celebrating Expression

The 102nd Santa Fe Indian Market is a world-renowned fine arts market and platform for cultural exchange where stories are shared, and where connections, meaning and memories are made. We welcome you to 12 city blocks of booths, hundreds of artists from nearly 200 tribal cultures, events all week, film screenings, cocktail parties, auctions and, of course, our annual Indigenous Fashion Show. Thank you for joining us.

In recent days, we are witnessing greater interest in Indigenous art and traditions, greater visibility for the old ways and a greater voice for many who have been too long silenced.  As the world’s most prestigious juried Native American art market, the Santa Fe Indian Market plays a vital role of representation, highlighting the exceptional talent and artistry of Indigenous creators.

Each year we host New Mexico’s largest gathering amidst the traditional homelands and communities of the Tewa people here in Oga Po’geh, known as Santa Fe. We are honored to be surrounded by sovereign lands, and further honored by these tribal cultures and scores of others that bring their traditions, their art and their celebration each year to market.

Here at SWAIA (Southwestern Association for Indian Arts), our purpose is clear: to empower artists and celebrate the ongoing evolution of their expression. We know art has the power to break down barriers, foster understanding and create a more inclusive world. By supporting Native American artists, you join the conversation necessary to preserve cultural heritage and to celebrate its continuation for generations to come.

When some fine artistry catches your eye among the booths, ask about it. Take a closer look and engage with the artists. They are the heart of this event, eager to share their heritage and artistic vision. We invite you to explore, be captivated and discover the vast artistic landscape that awaits you. Welcome.
