Territorial Indian Arts & Antiques
This Arizona gallery is excited to offer pottery from desert-dwelling Pi Posh and Mojave Indians. “We specialize in estate collections of historic pottery of all the tribes, with emphasis on the Matriarchs,” owners Deb and Alston Neal say about their offerings. “Now is a very good time to find examples of those hard-to-find legends in pottery as once-in-a-generation collections are coming out. We enjoy sharing the history of the artists as well as the collection story. Be the next caretaker of this valuable history of the Southwest.” Available materials include this Vesta Bread Maricopa effigy vase, Annie Fields Mojave effigy jar, Elmer Gates Mojave cradle board and antique Mojave figures with yellow ochre.

Ethnographic Antique Store
The Ethnographic Antique Store is offering this superb Oglala Teton Sioux Man’s Quilled Vest from 1903. Measuring 17 by 20 inches, the vest is among a group of other rare items collected more than 100 years ago by Charles Raymond and Nelly Rathbun Woodard near the Montana-Nebraska border. “This beautiful vest is artfully decorated with dyed porcupine quills,” the gallery notes. “It has been left untouched without any repairs. The remaining label number 0522 corresponds with Raymond’s handwritten inventory list.”
