A Plethora of Treasures

Heritage Auctions holds two stellar sales of Native American and Southwest art this summer.

During the months of June and July, Dallas-based Heritage Auctions will host its Ethnographic Art: American Indian, Pre-Columbian and Tribal Signature Auction and Collecting Southwest Showcase Auction, respectively.

“This season we received large consignments of weavings, jewelry and pottery, so our clients can expect a plethora of Navajo weavings, including very affordable examples,” says Delia E. Sullivan, director of ethnographic art at Heritage Auctions. “[This includes] Navajo, Zuni and Hopi jewelry—and most of the jewelry lots have multiple items in them. [We’ll also be offering] pueblo pottery from the ancient to the contemporary. These consignments will be spread out over the two sales.”
