We call this section Paint, Paper & Photography, but that only begins to scratch the surface of what this section truly represents. With paint, for instance, that can include anything from oil and acrylic to watercolor and gouache. Paper includes drawings, works in charcoal or pencil, pen and ink, pastel and even paper sculpting and carving. There are also artists who are creating fine art prints such as etchings, woodblock prints, screenprinting and lithography. For photography, it may sound simple, but there are numerous types of work: digital, analog, 35mm, medium format, large format and video of all types. When we first created this section in 2021, we were hopeful it would bring new kinds of artists and new kinds of work into the magazine. It turned out even better than we had hoped. So now we’re proud to return to our second Paint, Paper & Photography section. Enjoy!
