Winter in Santa Fe

SWAIA’s Winter Indian Market is returning to Santa Fe, New Mexico, on December 3 and 4, this year at a new venue, the Santa Fe Community Convention Center, not far from the Santa Fe Plaza. More than 150 artists are expected to be on hand showing their artwork across all the major art categories, as well as many others.

“Winter Indian Market is a wonderful opportunity for artists, collectors and SWAIA members to gather and support Native American art and artists by shopping our juried artist seasonal gift market,” says SWAIA’s director of operations, Jamie Schulze. “SWAIA is excited to be hosting the event at the Santa Fe Convention Center where we can accommodate more guests.”

In addition to having a new venue for the show and more artists than in the show’s most recent years, the market will feature an in-person silent auction and benefit raffle to support SWAIA’s mission. This year the organization is partnering with the Santa Fe Public Schools - Native American Student Services. Additionally, SWAIA will also be accepting toys and gifts for children of all ages as part of a toy drive.

Artists confirmed for this year’s market include Loren Aragon, Sally Black, Nocona Burgess, Manuel Chavarria, Darance Chimerica, Upton Ethelbah Jr., Sean Rising Sun Flanagan, Glendora Fragua, Arthur Holmes, Ivan Howard, Jennifer Medina, Patricia Michaels, Norbert Peshlakai, Franklin Peters, Tim Blueflint Ramel, Maria Samora, Mark Taho, Zoe Urness and many others.
