The 43rd annual Whitehawk Antique Indian & Ethnographic Art Show makes its way back to Santa Fe this August 14 to 16, after a year-long hiatus. It will take place at the Santa Fe Community Convention Center.

The show is paradise for the collector of antique and historic Native American, featuring more than 90 top quality booths from some of the foremost dealers in antique Indian and tribal art from around the country. Susan De Jong of Southwest Accents brings to the event this year a vast collection of 18th-, 19th- and 20th-century rugs, while Richard Ryan of Vedauwoo Antiquities brings a Lakota Sioux beaded hide vest from around 1890, Lakota beaded saddle bags on buffalo hide circa 1870, a gelatin silver print of iconic San Ildefonso potter Maria Martinez by Laura Gilpin, among other treasures.

“Territorial Indian Arts is so excited to be showing at the Whitehawk Show in August,” says co-owner Deborah Neal. “[We are] bringing many wonderful antiques including baskets, textiles, pottery, beadwork and turquoise jewelry!” Among these are the stunning black-on-black pottery of Martinez.

“We are as committed to the safety and security of our guests as we are to the experience they will have at the show,” says Whitehawk Antique Show owner and producer Marcia Berridge. “All state guidelines will be followed, and we are pleased that within those guidelines, we can still produce a show that continues to amaze and delight. An opening night party will be held Friday, August 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. Whitehawk Antique Indian & Ethnographic Art Show continues from August 14 to 16, running 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
