Whew…well, that was fun. We have spent the past few months planning, creating and preparing to bring you the biggest and best turquoise issue we have ever produced and now here it is, sitting in your hands, just dying to be read. Inspired by the overwhelming popularity of the very first turquoise issue (and if you have one in your possession, hold on to it because we even fight for them here at the magazine), which we completed now three years ago, we wanted to make sure that this issue had everything collectors could ask for when it comes to studying this wonderful stone that drives us all so wild. So how did we do that? Well, we spoke to everyone—miners, collectors, dealers, artists, writers, sculptors, gallery owners, auction professionals, readers, buyers, fans, etc.—to make sure we compiled the most up-to-date information for you. And now it’s here. I love how companies tell us the best way to enjoy their products. So, here’s ours: It’s fall, you’re somewhere out West, it’s cold outside, not winter cold but late fall cold, the air brisk and clear and clean, the fire is going, there is your favorite wool Pendleton hanging over the back of your chair, it’s late morning, but no worries you have all day, you curl up, fold your legs underneath you, open the cover of the magazine, take a deep breath and start to read.
